3594President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has concluded his working visit to Astana and departed for Tashkent. This was reported by the President's press service.
At the airport, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Oljas Bektenov, saw off President Mirziyoyev.
For reference, earlier today, September 17, President Mirziyoyev delivered a speech at the second "Central Asia - Germany" summit held in Astana. During his address, he emphasized that the policy of sanctions has had an extremely negative impact on the countries of Central Asia. He also discussed the significant and profound changes occurring in the region in recent years.
It is worth recalling that, during the sixth consultative meeting of the Central Asian leaders in Astana on August 9, President Mirziyoyev highlighted how events in Ukraine and the Middle East are directly affecting the region's stable development. He noted that trade and transport chains have been disrupted, Central Asia has become a victim of the sanctions policy, logistics costs have surged, inflationary pressure has increased, opportunities in the global capital market have diminished, protectionism is on the rise, and new challenges are emerging.
