Mirziyoyev visits to Samarkand

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has traveled to Samarkand to participate in the Uzbekistan-Germany summit, according to the President's press service.

Today, September 15, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan. The upcoming negotiations will focus on expanding mutual practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany.

During the visit, discussions are expected to cover the further strengthening of bilateral relations and issues related to economic, political, and other spheres.

For context, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Olaf Scholz during his visit to Germany in May 2023. In September 2023, the first summit of Central Asian leaders and Germany was held in Berlin, chaired by Olaf Scholz.

It is noteworthy that during the summit, Mirziyoyev held talks with Scholz and extended an invitation for him to visit Uzbekistan for an official visit.
