President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent a letter of condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin following the death of numerous people in a passenger plane crash in Russia's Amur Region. This was reported by UzA.

The head of state expressed his deep sympathy to the families of the victims.

According to available information, on July 24, an An-24 passenger aircraft disappeared from radar over the Amur Region. The plane, operated by Angara Airlines, was flying the Khabarovsk–Blagoveshchensk–Tynda route. On board were 43 passengers, including two children, and six crew members.

Rescue teams who arrived at the crash site reported that, according to preliminary data, all individuals on board had died.

It should be recalled that a Mi-8T helicopter operated by Vzlet Airlines also went missing earlier in Russia’s Khabarovsk Region. Five people were on board, including three crew members and two technical specialists. The helicopter had departed from the settlement of Okhotsk and was scheduled to arrive in Magadan, but contact with the crew was lost at the expected arrival time.
