Mirziyoyev congratulates Emomali Rahmon on his birthday

Today, on October 5, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated his Tajik counterpart, Emomali Rahmon, on his birthday and sent a congratulatory letter.

"I am pleased to wish you a happy birthday and convey my best wishes. You are a great statesman who has earned the respect and recognition of your people, ensured the independence of your state, made significant contributions to the economic and social development of your country, improved the well-being of your people, and strengthened the authority and reputation of Tajikistan on the international stage. We know you as an experienced politician," Mirziyoyev wrote in his letter.

The Uzbek leader wished President Rahmon good health, family happiness, continued success in his responsible duties, as well as peace, stability, and steady progress for the brotherly people of Tajikistan.

Emomali Rahmon was born on October 5, 1952, in Dangara, Khatlon Region, Tajikistan. The politician, who turns 72 today, has been serving as the President of Tajikistan since 1994.
