Mirziyoyev dismisses Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs

Bekmurod Tozhimirzayevich Abdullaev, who had been serving as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and Head of the Public Security Department, has been relieved of his duties. The corresponding decision was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Bekmurod Abdullaev had held this position since April 2021. Before that, he served as First Deputy Commander of the National Guard in charge of public security.

Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov announced the decision but did not specify the reasons for Abdullaev’s dismissal.
