Mirziyoyev ordered to bring foreign electrical engineering brands to Uzbekistan

Today, 26 September, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on priorities in the electrical engineering industry.

As a result of the modernization of the industry, the electrical engineering network has also changed.  In the last five years, the production volume has increased 4.5 times.  This means that the quality of the products has increased and there is a market.

Due to this, the export has increased by 5 times.  By the end of the year, this indicator is expected to exceed 750 million dollars.  In 2017, there were 25 exportable products in this sector, and this year it has reached 200.  11 enterprises in Fergana, Samarkand, Kashkadarya and Tashkent regions entered the foreign market for the first time.

At the meeting, the chairman of "Uzeltexanoat" association, M. Yunusov, gave information about the current work in the network, target indicators for the coming years.  As mentioned, 205 projects worth 1 billion 200 million dollars are being implemented today.  It is planned to localize new products and spare parts, increase the export volume to 1 billion dollars in 2023.

The head of state supported promising projects and pointed out priority tasks in the network.

"The production of household appliances has increased, which means that the purchasing power of the population has increased.  In recent years, our electrical engineering industry has been "reborn” Now it is necessary to further develop it, increase production and create high added value.  The ultimate goal is a job," says Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the analysis, the situation in world markets shows that it is possible to increase exports to 1.5 billion dollars in two years.  Also, Uzbekistan has an import market worth 1 billion 300 million dollars.  To get a fair share of these opportunities, the product must first of all be of high quality and well-known.

Therefore, the president emphasized the need to create new local brands and bring in foreign brands, make the products of the appropriate quality, and win the trust of customers.

The demand for semiconductors and circuit boards in the country and surrounding markets is 6 billion dollars.  Therefore, the task of increasing such enterprises, financing scientific, experimental design and start-up projects in the field of electronics and microelectronics was determined.  Instructions were given on the making of household appliances, export insurance and credit expansion.

As long as there are household appliances, there will always be a demand for service.  It was noted that training young people in this direction in vocational schools will be an important factor in providing them with work.

In accordance with the decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 9 September of this year, the program on the expansion of renewable energy sources was adopted.  In it, it was decided to install such devices in 34 thousand households, 6 thousand objects of ministries and offices.  Residents were given the opportunity to receive compensation and repay the loan in 3 years without interest.

It is planned to establish a cluster enterprise in Kashkadarya in order to supply alternative energy devices to consumers.  Information about the progress of this project was given at the meeting.

It is known that the electrical engineering network is related to copper.  In recent years, new mines have been developed and the stock of this raw material has been expanded.  Copper clusters are being organized in Ohangaron district and Karshi city.  The head of our state emphasized the need to establish foreign management in these enterprises and import deep processing projects, science and innovation.

It was noted that 34 projects that will create high added value will be launched in this direction next year.
