Mirziyoyev arrived in Dushanbe

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, landed in Dushanbe for an official visit. 

He was welcomed by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, upon his arrival at the capital's airport. 

A guard of honor and the national flags of both nations were displayed in honor of the esteemed guest, accompanied by representatives from Tajik youth and creative communities.

Following this, President Mirziyoyev paid homage at "Dostiy" square, laying flowers at the base of Ismoil Somoni's statue.

The leaders are set to engage in high-level talks, addressing the advancement of strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, alongside discussing international and regional cooperation.

The agenda includes attending a joint concert featuring artists from both countries and exploring an exhibition showcasing "Made in Uzbekistan" products.

Various events were organized during the state visit, including a women's forum, Uzbek cinema days, an assembly of intellectuals, scientists, and historians, as well as festivities highlighting national cuisine and tourism prospects.

Additionally, a rectors' forum took place in Tashkent, while a business forum convened in Dushanbe.
