1914On November 6, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Bishkek. The meeting was confirmed by the President's press service.
The discussion centered on key issues aimed at advancing the Uzbekistan-Hungary strategic partnership and expanding multilateral cooperation.
According to the report, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the tangible outcomes of mutual cooperation. Trade volumes and industrial collaboration are on the rise, with efforts underway to establish an industrial park in the Tashkent region. In October, the first Regional Forum took place in Kokand, and this month, significant cultural events will be held in Budapest.
The two leaders also reviewed the schedule for upcoming bilateral engagements, emphasizing the importance of developing a portfolio of new projects to enhance trade, economic, and investment ties among leading companies.
The meeting included an exchange of views on pressing regional issues.
For context, President Mirziyoyev is set to participate in today’s summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
Leaders from the five member states—Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan—as well as observer countries, will attend. The summit's theme is “Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future, and Security for All.”
