Mirziyoyev congratulates Berdymukhamedov

Today 22 September, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of State congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday, wished him good health, happiness, and great success, and wished the fraternal Turkmen people best wishes.

Urgent issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the preparation of a comprehensive agenda for the forthcoming high-level meetings. They noted opportunities for increasing mutual trade, deepening cooperation in industry, energy, transport, and agriculture, and expanding the cultural and humanitarian exchange program.

The Heads of State also exchanged views on the prospects for regional cooperation. The fruitful results of the Samarkand summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization were highly appreciated.

At the end of the dialogue, the President of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated the President and people of Turkmenistan on the upcoming national holiday - Independence Day and wished peace, stability, development, and prosperity.

The conversation between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Serdar Berdimuhamedov was as always, conducted in the spirit of sincerity, trust, and friendship.
