Mirziyoyev receives the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of Belarus

3885Today, August 27, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received a delegation led by Natalya Kochanova, Chairperson of the Republican Council of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, who is on an official visit to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the President’s press service.
The meeting addressed the further deepening of multilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus, including the expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Natalya Kochanova conveyed to Shavkat Mirziyoyev the sincere greetings and best wishes of Alexander Lukashenko.
The President of Uzbekistan expressed pleasure that, in accordance with the agreements reached at the highest level in February of this year, bilateral cooperation is rapidly advancing, with more active dialogue and exchanges.
“The volume of trade is increasing, industrial cooperation projects are being successfully implemented, interregional business relations are strengthening, and events within the framework of the cultural and humanitarian program are being held regularly,” the report states.
The joint events held within the framework of the parliaments in Tashkent, including meetings at the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the successful outcomes of the second women’s business forum, were also highly appreciated.
The need to continue the active inter-parliamentary dialogue between the two countries, aimed at promoting specific projects of cooperation in trade, industry, agriculture, education, health, and other priority areas, was emphasized.
It is worth noting that in September of last year, Alexander Lukashenko received Tanzila Norbaeva, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, in Belarus.
