5540On March 31, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, attended a concert in Khujand featuring cultural and artistic performances by representatives of the three nations.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended heartfelt congratulations to the brotherly peoples on the spring renewal holiday, Navruz, and the blessed Ramadan holiday.
“Today is truly a great and long-awaited celebration for our peoples. We have signed the historic treaty on the junction point of the borders of three states. From now on, borders will be lines of brotherhood, spaces for new opportunities, creativity, and cooperation,” the President stated.
It was noted that in recent years, significant positive changes have occurred in relations between the countries due to shared political will.
Today, the Treaty on Alliance Relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan came into force. It was also announced that a similar document will soon be signed between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Trade, investments, cargo transportation, and citizen movement are steadily increasing, and the number of successful cooperation projects is growing.
During today’s negotiations, agreements were reached to create favorable conditions for business and cultural exchanges, increase the number of direct flights, and establish new bus routes between cities in border regions.
Additionally, special attention was given to holding cultural events, creative festivals, youth forums, and sports competitions regularly.
“Art knows no borders; its great mission is to unite people. Today’s concert, performed by talented artists from three countries, once again showcases the richness, diversity, and shared heritage of our cultures,” the President concluded.
Earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Emomali Rahmon, and Sadyr Japarov signed the historic treaty on the junction point of the state borders of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as adopted a Joint Declaration of the three states. Following this, the leaders ceremonially unveiled the Friendship Stele at the tri-border area where the three countries meet.
The sacred soil, religion, destiny, concerns, joys, and aspirations of the three nations were highlighted as being shared. It was emphasized that it is now a collective duty to make this beautiful land prosperous for current and future generations to live happily and worthily.
