18620Today, February 10, a gas leak occurred in a 1020-mm main gas pipeline passing through the Bukhara region. Following the fire, reports emerged suggesting that restrictions would be imposed on methane gas stations. The Ministry of Energy initially stated that, to ensure an uninterrupted supply of natural gas to the population and social facilities, temporary restrictions would be placed on gas filling stations across the country. However, this part of the official announcement was later removed.
After additional studies, the Ministry of Energy clarified that all gas filling stations in Uzbekistan will continue to operate without restrictions.
"After further examination, it was determined that gas filling stations in all regions of the republic will continue operating as usual, in line with procedures previously agreed upon with regional authorities. Their operations will be adjusted based on regional demand and gas pipeline pressure," the ministry’s statement read.
Authorities assured that any updates regarding the situation would be provided to the public as necessary.
