Saida Mirziyoyeva, the eldest daughter of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the head of the department for communications and information policy of the executive office of the Presidential Administration, is against increasing the reputation of teachers in society and forcing them to do work that is not part of their duties.  His ideas about fighting and increasing the income of teachers are also supported in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

In particular, the public of the Russian Federation, deputies and intellectuals actively agree with the opinions of Mirziyoyeva.  Boris Chernyshov, deputy speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, and deputy Artyom Kiryanov supported what he said.  Kiryanov wrote on his Telegram page:

“I saw the speech of Saida Mirziyoyeva, representative of the Executive Office of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, who proposed stopping the use of teachers as servants.  His words resonated actively in all regions.  This has a symbolic meaning, because we have declared the next year as the “Year of Teachers and Mentors”.

If we recall the history of Russia, then in our country the teaching profession has always been the most respected, and even before the revolution it was one of the highest paid professions.  The teacher was respected by both students and parents.  This was right, because in fact it is teachers who shape our common future, create the foundations of spiritual and moral education for the young generation.  But then, somehow, completely imperceptible to society, the transition from education and upbringing to the provision of educational services took place.  Accordingly, the attitude towards teachers has also changed.  Now is the time to fix it.  I support my colleagues from Uzbekistan.  We need a perfect solution to current problems.”

According to the vice-speaker of the Russian Duma, Boris Chernishov, Mirziyoyeva’s initiative is important not only for Uzbekistan, but also for teachers in Russia.

“On the eve of the Year of the Teacher and Coach in Russia, these issues are also relevant for our country.  We need to support our proud teachers.  Only then can we return Russian education to its former greatness,” he says.

Famous athlete Nikolay Valuev also joined the action aimed at supporting teachers.

“The teacher, first of all, should be engaged in their direct task – raising their student to be a well-rounded person.  I don’t think anything good would have come out of it if my coach had been busy with some unnecessary work instead of giving me time.  That’s why I fully support Saida,” he said.

Neighboring Kyrgyzstan also has a “tradition” of using teachers as laborers.  That is why Mirziyoyeva’s words received serious attention in Bishkek.  Bakhridin Shabazov, deputy of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, expressed his full support for Mirziyoyeva’s initiative.

He emphasized that he believes that administrative and even criminal liability should be introduced in Kyrgyzstan for those who force teachers to do things that are not directly related to their work.

Let us remind you that on 17 December, at the final of the brain-ring games within the framework of the “Zakovat” intellectual Olympiad, he said the following about teachers:

“Unfortunately, the teachers who teach our children have been without rights, defenseless and worthless for years.  “They were used as gardeners, janitors, waiters serving the commissions that came to the school, “Massovka” filling empty halls at boring events, mandatory subscribers to press publications, night duty and school guards,” says Mirziyoyeva.
