Saida Mirziyoyeva meets with the Princess of Qatar

27808Yesterday, on October 2, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, met with Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Princess of Qatar and Chairperson of Qatar Museums and other institutions. They discussed the restoration project of the Bibikhanim Mosque in Samarkand. Saida Mirziyoyeva shared this on her Telegram channel.
It was noted that at the conclusion of the meeting, bilateral cooperation agreements were signed with the Culture and Art Development Fund of Uzbekistan, the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, and the Qatar Development Fund.
"I was pleased to participate in the signing of an agreement between the Qatar Development Fund and the Uzbekistan Culture and Art Development Fund on the reconstruction of the Bibikhanim Mosque complex in Samarkand. This cooperation is aimed at preserving Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage for future generations, ensuring its continuity, and expanding the capabilities of the country's local communities," the Chairperson of Qatar Museums wrote on her X page.
It was highlighted that these mutual relations aim to cooperate in the restoration of Uzbekistan's cultural heritage, which is of great significance both for Uzbekistan and the world.
Additionally, the Princess of Qatar took part in the opening of the IV World Conference on Creative Economy and expressed her satisfaction on her X page.
"I am pleased to participate in the opening of the 2024 World Creative Economy Conference in Uzbekistan, where we will discuss the profound impact of culture and creativity in shaping our future. The economy is an important pillar in addressing global challenges such as poverty, inequality, and climate change, and today we emphasize its ability to build a more inclusive and sustainable world for all," said the Princess.
It should be noted that Saida Mirziyoyeva also met British supermodel Naomi Campbell during the conference in Tashkent.
