A photo circulating on social media shows Jahongir Ortikhodzhaev, chairman of the Tashkent-based Pakhtakor football club, with renowned German coach Joachim Löw, sparking rumors that the former German national team manager might become the new coach of Pakhtakor.

The 64-year-old Löw, who led Germany to victory in the 2014 World Cup, has been without a coaching role since 2021. Throughout his career, Löw has managed not only the German national team but also several clubs in Germany, Austria, and Turkey.

There has been no official confirmation yet on whether Löw will take charge of the Tashkent club, though sources at QALAMPIR.UZ Pakhtakor may be looking to appoint a top-tier coach, potentially someone of Löw's caliber.

For context, Pakhtakor, the defending champions of last season, have struggled this year. The team currently sits in 5th place in the Uzbek Super League with 38 points after 25 rounds.
