Pakhtakor's expenses near 100 billion sums this year - Ortiqkhujaev

The total expenditures of the Pakhtakor football club for this season are nearing 100 billion sums, according to club chairman Jahongir Ortiqkhujaev.
"Financially, Pakhtakor is not profitable at all. Someone has to support the main team of our city. We grew up with this team, and we do what we can to help. Football is profitable in only 10 to 15 countries worldwide. As for Uzbekistan, I don't believe it can be profitable here," said Ortiqkhujaev.
Speaking to the media, Ortiqkhujaev outlined new goals for the club, including the recent appointment of Portuguese coach Pedro Moreira. However, citing a confidentiality clause in Moreira's contract, he declined to disclose the coach’s salary.
It was earlier reported that Pakhtakor parted ways with experienced Serbian player Dragan Ceran.
