Consultation meeting of Central Asian leaders begins (video)

3974Today, on August 9, Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the 6th Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders in Astana, Kazakhstan. The press service of the President of Kazakhstan provided this information.
The meeting was attended by the President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The high-ranking guests were welcomed by President Tokayev.
During the meeting, the roadmap for the development of regional cooperation until 2027 will be approved. This document aims to enhance the coordinated efforts of governments and strengthen oversight of the progress of initiatives proposed in various fields. Additionally, the "Central Asia - 2040" strategy, another important document aimed at the long-term development of regional cooperation, will be discussed.
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev also delivered speeches at the consultative meeting.
It is worth noting that an official welcoming ceremony for Shavkat Mirziyoyev was held earlier at Akorda. Following that, Mirziyoyev and Tokayev held a private meeting, during which Mirziyoyev invited Tokayev to visit Uzbekistan. During the meeting, Mirziyoyev was awarded the "Golden Kiran" order. Additionally, more than 10 documents were signed between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Mirziyoyev also attended a concert with the leaders of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
