Lime factory was found stealing gas worth 5.6 billion sums in Margilon

2658Illegal gas usage was uncovered in Margilon, Fergana region, according to a report by the General Prosecutor's Office.
It was revealed that citizen T.M. and others had organized an unauthorized lime production workshop in a non-residential area of the "Small Industrial Zone" within the city. They had unlawfully connected makeshift gas devices (burners) to an underground medium-pressure gas pipeline, stealing 2,155,000 cubic meters of natural gas, valued at 5 billion 604 million sums.
A criminal case has been initiated against citizens T.M., K.M., and their accomplices under clause "a" of Article 169 (Theft) of the Criminal Code. The suspects have been detained in accordance with legal procedures.
As a reminder, a similar case occurred earlier in the Tashkent region, where a company head was sentenced to five years in prison for illegally connecting to the drinking water supply.
