Service Commensurate with the Salary (does not it?): Uzbek deputies receive the lowest salary in Central Asia

Monthly salaries of deputies from Central Asian countries were compared. According to the statistics compiled by the "Asia Plus" publication, deputies in Kazakhstan receive the highest salaries, while deputies in Uzbekistan receive the least.

The study reveals that the salary of Kazakh deputies equals 2050 US dollars (23.9 million soums). Tajikistan's deputies rank next, earning 688 dollars (8 million soums), followed by Kyrgyzstan's deputies in third place with a salary of 500 dollars (5.8 million soums).

Among the Central Asian countries, Uzbekistan's deputies receive the lowest salary of 380 dollars (4.4 million soums). Information on Turkmenistan is not recorded in this study.

Additionally, the study compares the monthly salaries of deputies from several other countries. For instance, Belarusian deputies receive 950 dollars (11 million soums), while Russian deputies earn 6850 dollars (79.8 million soums). UK MPs receive a salary of $5,950 (69.3 million soums), and European Parliament members receive $7,500 (87.4 million soums).
