Traffic police officers disciplined for canceling Malibu fines

Reports circulating on social media alleged widespread corruption and misconduct within the Fergana Regional Traffic Safety Department, particularly concerning the unlawful cancellation of traffic fines issued to a Malibu-2 vehicle. In response, the department has issued an official statement.

According to the Fergana Regional Department of Internal Affairs, a service inspection was carried out by the Public Security Service following a complaint submitted by citizen U.A. As a result of the investigation, five employees of the Traffic Safety Department were subjected to disciplinary action.

The department also confirmed that all previously canceled fines related to the Malibu-2 vehicle have since been recovered in accordance with the law.

It is worth noting that in a separate incident, a resident of Pakhtaabad district was recently detained with physical evidence while attempting to bribe a traffic patrol inspector with 1 million soums. The operation was conducted jointly by the Andijan Regional Department of the Main Department of Personal Security under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Rapid Search Service of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
