First deputy minister of preschool and school education was appointed

Sherzod Abdurasulovich Karimov has been appointed as the first deputy minister of preschool and school education by presidential decree, a source at QALAMPIR.UZ reported.

Karimov has an extensive background in education. From 2006 to 2012, he worked in the public education sector, then transitioned to the secondary special vocational education system from 2012 to 2018. Between 2018 and 2024, he served as a leader, chief specialist, branch head, and deputy head of the Secretariat of the Department of Education and Social Development Affairs within the Cabinet of Ministers.

From February 28, 2024, until his recent appointment, Karimov was the head of the Department of Youth Policy, Preschool and School Education, Health, and Spiritual Affairs of the Cabinet of Ministers under the "Mahalla yettiligi," focusing on youth policy and spiritual affairs.

Additionally, we note that Olimjon Suyunovich Abdullaev, former Consul General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt (Germany) from 2021 to 2024, has recently been appointed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
