Ukrainian boxer Sergey Bogachuk, who will face Uzbek professional boxer Israil Madrimov in an upcoming bout, has expressed his belief that Terence Crawford did not deserve the win in his fight against Madrimov, declaring Madrimov the real champion.

"Isroil Madrimov is a very good and skillful boxer, with an impressive amateur career. He has shown great results both as an amateur and in professional boxing. Officially, he has only one loss, and that was against Crawford, but I don't think Crawford was strong enough to win. Crawford didn’t do anything that warranted his hand being raised. For me, Madrimov was the real champion in that fight. He has faced very tough opponents. Fighting Madrimov will be a great experience for me, and I’m glad this fight is happening," said Bogachuk.

Bogachuk also shared his thoughts on why Madrimov was chosen as his opponent.

"Before I fought Ortiz and Madrimov faced Crawford, people wanted to see a Crawford-Ortiz match. But after Madrimov’s fight with Crawford and my bout with Ortiz, that fight was forgotten. The referees declared our opponents the winners, yet the fight between Madrimov and me wasn’t organized, which is strange. Everyone saw and recognized us as the real champions," added the Ukrainian boxer.

For context, Bogachuk, who is the same age as Madrimov, has fought 26 times, securing 24 wins and 2 losses. Madrimov, on the other hand, has fought 11 times, winning 10 of his bouts. The highly anticipated Madrimov-Bogachuk fight is scheduled for December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
