Promo video was released for the tournament featuring Murodjon Akhmadaliev (video)

Former world champion in the super bantamweight division and official contender for the World Boxing Association (WBA) belt, Murodjon Akhmadaliev, is set to fight on December 14 in Monte Carlo. On December 4, a promotional video for the tournament featuring Akhmadaliev was unveiled, as reported by the press service of the Professional Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan.  

The promo video uses a retro aesthetic, creatively showcasing the countries represented by the participating boxers. When Murodjon Akhmadaliev's name appears, the video highlights the iconic Registan Square in Samarkand, symbolizing his Uzbek roots.  

Akhmadaliev will headline the professional boxing evening organized by Matchroom Promotions, competing for the interim WBA super bantamweight title.  

On the same night, the 29-year-old will face 27-year-old Mexican boxer Ricardo Espinosa Franco. Espinosa, ranked 13th in the WBA standings, has previously fought for the interim WBO bantamweight title in 2019, where he lost to three-division world champion John Riel Casimero by an 11th-round knockout.  

Notably, a modern promo video was recently released for the highly anticipated rematch between Ukraine's undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, and Britain's former WBC world champion Tyson Fury.
