2947In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, violations of the law were identified in tenders totaling approximately 10 billion sums, conducted by community assemblies. This was reported by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.
It was noted that in Karakalpakstan, in order to financially and materially support the implementation of programs aimed at improving neighborhood infrastructure, enhancing living conditions, fostering socio-economic development, and efficiently addressing existing challenges, a fund will be provided to each of the 452 neighborhood assemblies in the Republic of Karakalpakstan throughout the year 2023. A total of 500 million sums will be allocated.
In accordance with these funds, during the conduct of tenders with a total value of approximately 10 billion sums by community assemblies, it was discovered that the evaluation criteria for assessing proposals, as required by the legislative acts "On Competition" and "State Procurement," were not properly developed by the procurement commissions.
As a result of the investigation, 48 cases were initiated, and appropriate measures were taken.
It should be noted that "Ipotekabank" was previously fined for false advertising, and it was also reported that the "Korzinka" supermarket chain will be subject to a fine.
