Tour companies fined for organizing unlicensed “Umrah” event

3576Financial penalties have been imposed on companies in the Tashkent region for organizing an “Umrah” event without the required license. The Committee for Religious Affairs reported the findings.
During an inspection, it was revealed that two companies—“Nazir Travel N1” LLC and “Bonu Travel 000” LLC, based in the city of Angren—had organized the event without the proper license. As a result, both companies were fined.
The fines imposed on these legal entities for failing to obtain the necessary license for organizing and conducting “Umrah” events amounted to 200 times the minimum wage, which totals 75 million sums.
The Committee for Religious Affairs also advised pilgrims to remain vigilant when performing Umrah, emphasizing the importance of using reliable and accredited services to ensure a safe and proper experience.
Earlier, a tour company in Namangan that had organized an unlicensed Umrah tour was also fined.
