11180The competitions at the Summer Olympic Games Paris-2024, held in France, are nearing their conclusion. In the boxing final for the 92 kg weight category, Lazizbek Mullojonov, the Asian champion, world military champion, and bronze medalist at the 2022 World Championships, represented Uzbekistan against Alfredo Dominguez, a Cuban-born athlete competing for Azerbaijan.
Lazizbek Mullojonov emerged victorious in a fiercely contested match, securing another gold medal for the Uzbekistan delegation.
With Mullojonov's triumph, the total medal count for the Uzbek delegation at the tournament has risen to eight, comprising five gold and three bronze medals.
Earlier, in the boxing final for the 71 kg weight category, Asadkhoja Moydinkhojaev of Uzbekistan faced Marco Alonso Verde Alvarez of Mexico, winning the gold medal for Uzbekistan in the Paris Olympics.
Additionally, in the decisive match for the 51 kg weight category, Hasanboy Dusmatov, the champion of the Rio 2016 Olympics, competed against France's Bennama Bilal and claimed victory, becoming a two-time Olympic champion.
