Akmal Saidov will lead the process of amending the Constitution of Uzbekistan

9144At a joint session of the Senate and the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a Constitutional Commission was established to amend the Constitution and implement organizational measures.
The joint session of the Senate and the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis determined the composition and tasks of the commission.
The commission is headed by the first deputy speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Akmal Saidov. Alisher Kadirov, Aktam Khaitov, Kutbiddin Burkhanov, and Murad Kamolov were appointed deputies to the Chairman of the Commission. MP Odiljon Tajiyev was appointed head of the press service of the commission.
It should be recalled that on 17 May, the two parties with the largest number of seats in the Legislative Chamber – the Liberal Democratic Party and the Democratic Party "Milliy Tiklanish" (national revival) – agreed to submit the issue of improving the constitution of Uzbekistan to the Councils of Chambers of Oliy Majlis.
