UzLiDeP and “Milliy Tiklanish” reaches an agreement to change the constitution

The issue of improving the constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall be submitted to the councils of Chambers of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) for consideration.

The decision was made today, 17 May, at a joint meeting of the ruling Liberal-Democratic party and the Democratic party «Milliy Tiklanish» (National Revival).

The need for constitutional reforms in Uzbekistan was emphasized in the speech of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a joint session of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis devoted to the inauguration ceremony.

At the joint session, the faction of the Liberal Democratic party of Uzbekistan stressed the importance of improving the constitution in the implementation of the development strategy of New Uzbekistan of 2022-2026, developed on the basis of the principle “From the strategy of activities to development strategy."

The members of the Democratic Party «Milliy Tiklanish» expressed full support for the proposal of the Liberal Democratic party to improve the constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to the outcomes of the joint meeting, it was decided to submit the issue of improving the constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the councils of Chambers of the Oliy Majlis for consideration.
