Foreign investors are exempt from taxes for three years.

Now, foreign investors are exempted from taxes on dividends received from shares for a period of three years. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the third Tashkent International Investment Forum on May 2, held at the International Congress Center.

At this forum, the head of state said that a number of specific measures have been developed to support entrepreneurship and business in the country.

It is reported that the law on privatization was recently adopted. A new program for the sale of state shares of 250 large enterprises and about 1,000 real estate objects, the initial public offering (IPO) of shares of 12 enterprises on the stock markets, has also been launched.

It is noted that the rating of stability of entrepreneurs has been introduced in the country. Tax audits are not conducted for business entities with high ratings.

The President also made a number of concrete proposals to strengthen the protection of investors' rights.

First, it was noted that the new version of the Law "On Investments" will be adopted. This document was developed in accordance with the procedures and standards of the World Trade Organization.

Secondly, the International Commercial Court will soon start working in the country under the International Center for Digital Technologies. This court will have a special place in the judicial system of Uzbekistan.

Thirdly, completely new approaches will be introduced in the system of industrial zones in the near future. The practice of actively involving private operators, including highly qualified foreign companies, in the management of industrial zones will be expanded. Restrictions on the period of activity of special economic zones will also be canceled.
The term of land lease for foreign investors will be doubled from 25 to 49 years. In this case, the existing benefits and preferences guaranteed by the laws are fully preserved.
