Blogger was arrested for staging PR stunt in Khorezm

A blogger who staged a fight for publicity in Khorezm has been sentenced to 15 days in jail. This information was provided by the traffic safety service of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The incident occurred on May 21 in Urganch, Khorezm region. A video shows the social media influencer promoting a product while driving, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle. This led to a confrontation with another driver who was traveling in the same direction. The blogger argued with the driver, used abusive language, and eventually forced the other car, a Spark, to stop. He then attempted to damage the car, including breaking its windshield.

The Khorezm Department of Internal Affairs managed the situation. Investigations revealed that the entire event was orchestrated to gain more followers, a tactic known as "black PR."

"It was all for publicity. I had to break the car window while getting out. Things got out of hand and mixed with real life. Our goal was to start a giveaway. I regret what I did," the blogger admitted.

Under Article 183 (petty hooliganism) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, the offender was sentenced to 15 days of administrative imprisonment.

Previously, internet personality Kholiqjon Samadov, also known as “Kholiqjon vaynes”, was sentenced to 7 days in jail for a similar offense.
