During operational measures carried out in the Fergana and Khorezm regions, drug traffickers were detained, according to the State Security Service.

In particular, a resident of Margilan, born in 1991, was arrested while selling 1 kilogram and 524 grams of "hashish" smuggled from Tajikistan for 240 million sums.

In a separate case in Yazyavan district, a Lacetti car driven by a 1986-born resident of Toshlak district, who had a previous criminal record, was stopped on the "Fergana-Tashkent" route and inspected in the presence of witnesses. As a result, 799 pills of Zardex and 40 pills of Tropicamide, a potent drug, were found hidden in the vehicle's interior and seized accordingly.

Additionally, 1,679 pills of Zardex and 48 pills of Tropicamide were found in his residence. Further action led to the inspection of the temporary residence of his close associate, a 1987-born resident of Margilan, in Fergana. There, authorities discovered 2,239 pills of Lyrica, a potent drug. The investigation revealed that a 2001-born resident of Fergana district had received these drugs from unknown individuals in Kyrgyzstan. This individual was also detained.

In the Khorezm region, a 1960-born citizen, previously convicted of drug trafficking and residing in Kattakurgan district, Samarkand region, and his accomplice, born in 1980, were arrested while attempting to sell 802 grams of "opium" smuggled from Tajikistan.

In Urgench, a resident of Koshkupir district, born in 2000, and a resident of Urgench, born in 1987, were arrested while selling 499 grams of "opium" and 12 grams of "heroin" for $11,500 in a mutual agreement. Additionally, during a search of one of their basements, 351 grams of "opium" were found and seized. It was revealed that the drug had been smuggled from Afghanistan.

Moreover, a previously convicted individual, born in 1962, in Hazorasp district had 989 grams of "opium" in his residence, which he had stored for future sale. This drug was smuggled from Tajikistan and was also seized accordingly.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against the detainees under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and they have been placed under arrest as a preventive measure.
