Former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Timur Kapadze, has expressed his readiness to manage the Indonesia national team. He revealed during an interview with Indonesian football journalist Afandi Gazali.

’’I love Indonesia and its fans. Thank you for your support. Many Indonesian fans have sent me messages asking me to take charge of the national team,’’ Kapadze said during the conversation with Afandi Gazali.

During the meeting, Kapadze also did not hide his interest in leading the Indonesian national team. He openly stated that he is ready to accept the offer if the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) places its trust in him.

According to Gazali, Kapadze is currently waiting only for an official offer from PSSI. The organization has not yet made an official proposal. Nevertheless, due to Kapadze’s successful leadership of the Uzbekistan national team during the 2026 World Cup qualification stage, he remains in the spotlight of Indonesian media and football fans.

Indonesian supporters view Timur Kapadze as the main favorite for the head coach position, which will become vacant after the national team concludes its cooperation with Patrick Kluivert. Many fans have visited Kapadze’s Instagram page to request that he take charge of the national team.

It is worth noting that Timur Kapadze, the former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, has been working as an assistant coach since leaving the national team.
