A criminal case has been initiated in connection with a large fire that broke out in the stalls of the market located in the city of Kokan, Fergana region, known as “optom bazar” in the local language. Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, has provided this information.

It is noted that a criminal case has been opened under Article 259 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the violation of fire safety regulations. Investigations are being carried out by the Investigative Department under the Internal Affairs Department of the Fergana region.

We would like to remind you that yesterday, on June 12, a major fire broke out in the market stalls in the city of Kokan, Fergana region, known as “optom bazar” in the local language. It took four hours to extinguish the fire.
