4640Earlier, the regional administration's press service reported that seven members of an Uzbek family died from carbon monoxide poisoning in a house in the village of Baskuduk, Munaili district, Mangystau region, Kazakhstan. However, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed QALAMPIR.UZ that only one of the deceased was a citizen of Uzbekistan.
According to the ministry, only the head of the family, born in the Republic of Karakalpakstan in 1980, was an Uzbek citizen. He was married to a Kazakh woman, and his wife and children were citizens of Kazakhstan.
The Mangystau region's Emergency Situations Department has stated that the tragedy, which occurred on March 2, was initially attributed to a violation of gas equipment usage rules. A commission, chaired by Erbol Izbergenov, the first deputy governor of Mangystau region, has been formed to investigate the incident. Authorities have assured that the relatives of the deceased will receive all possible assistance, including burial support, and that the case remains under the personal supervision of the regional governor.
Earlier, a similar incident was reported in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region, where a parent and their child died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
