New mayor was appointed for Qorovulbazar District

According to a report from the Bukhara regional government, an extraordinary session of the Qorovulbazar District Council of People's Deputies was held on November 30, during which a new mayor for the district was appointed.

Akmal Anvarovich Ostonov, who had been serving as the mayor of Qorovulbazar, was dismissed from his position due to his transfer to another job. Otkir Shomahmadovich Hamroyev was named as the new head of the district.

Otkir Hamroyev, born in 1976 in the Peshku district, graduated from Bukhara State University in 2000 and from the Academy of State and Society under the President of Uzbekistan in 2011, specializing in economics and public administration. He began his career as an accountant and has since held several key positions, including Deputy Governor of the Peshku District for Economic and Social Development, Head of the Regional Main Department of Economics, Head of the Regional Department of Competition, and Head of the Regional Territorial Department of the State Assets Management Agency.

Prior to his new role, Hamroyev had been serving as the head of the information and analytical group of the regional government’s administrative apparatus since 2021.

Let's remember, that mayors for the Peshku and Vobkent districts as well as the city of Kogon city new mayors were also appointed.
