Turdimov appoints new mayor for Akaltyn district

On February 28, an extraordinary session of the District Council of People's Deputies was held in the Akaltyn district of the Syrdarya region, during which a new district mayor was appointed. The regional khokimiyat’s press service reported the decision.  

Acting regional mayor Erkinjon Turdimov, who attended the session, noted that the district lags behind in several key areas. He pointed out shortcomings in poverty reduction efforts, employment initiatives, the development and implementation of investment projects, and export growth. As part of the session, an organizational matter was addressed, and Komiljon Yuldoshalievich Ernazarov, who had been serving as district mayor, was relieved of his duties.  

Husniddin Yakhshilikovich Suvonov was appointed as the acting mayor of Akaltyn district. Prior to this role, he served as the first deputy district governor for finance, economics, and poverty reduction, as well as head of the economics and finance department.  

It is worth noting that new mayors were recently appointed to the Mirzaabad, Gulistan, and Syrdarya districts of the Syrdarya region
