It was earlier reported that all preschool educational institutions in the Khojaly district of Karakalpakstan would suspend operations from July 16 to 18 due to the sharp rise in temperatures. Now, preschool organizations in the Takhiatash district will also temporarily cease activities. The corresponding resolution was signed by the district governor.

According to the governor’s document, all kindergartens were suspended to protect children from the negative effects of extreme heat during this summer’s sharp temperature increase.
It should be recalled that Uzhydromet previously warned of very hot air masses moving into Uzbekistan from the south between July 17 and 19. On July 17, temperatures are expected to reach 40–43 degrees Celsius in the northern, southern, and desert regions of the country. Between July 18 and 20, most regions will experience extreme heat, with temperatures rising to 44–45 degrees Celsius in some parts of the south and desert areas.
