Warehouse catches fire in Karakalpakstan

5288A fire broke out today, October 8, in a warehouse located in the "Jeke Terek" mahalla of Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the incident.
According to the report, at 12:47 p.m., emergency services were notified of the fire, which occurred in a warehouse storing construction materials. Within six minutes, four fire-rescue teams arrived at the scene. The fire was successfully contained by 1:09 p.m. and fully extinguished by 1:15 p.m.
While construction materials covering an area of 150 square meters were damaged by the fire, no injuries or fatalities were reported.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire and assess the extent of the property damage.
This comes after a similar incident on August 24, when a warehouse in the Yangi Hayot district of Tashkent also caught fire, covering an area of 5,000 square meters. The cause of that fire was attributed to flammable liquids stored in the facility.
