3613The Asian Boxing Championship is currently being held in Amman, the capital of Jordan. During the program of 6 November, seven Uzbek boxers entered the ring.
Shahzod Muzaffarov defeated Iran's Mehdi Khusravi in the quarter-finals in the -54 kg weight category. Abdumalik Khalakov also entered the ring against Iranian boxer Sajad Mohammadpoursamarin in 57 k and won. In -60 kg, Adhamjon Muhiddinov beat Thai representative Khunatip Pidnuch. In -63.5 kg, Ruslan Abdullayev did not leave any chance to James Palitse from the Philippines in the quarter finals. Asadkhoja Moydinkhojayev, a representative of the Uzbekistan men's national team, competed against Amit Kumar from India in the -67 kg category and won 5-0 according to the judges' decision.
Uzbekistan women's national team was not lucky in yesterday's matches. Farzona Fozilova in -48 kg and Dilfuza Bekova in -60 kg weight category ended their participation in the tournament after losing their matches.
For information, the Asian Championship will be held until 13 November.
