These inspections involved the participation of university leadership from Osh State University (OshSU), Osh Technological University (OshTU), Osh State Pedagogical University (OshPU), Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University (KYKU), Osh Medical University, and others.

As a result of the inspections, a total of 13,300 students were expelled due to academic failure and irregular class attendance. The breakdown is as follows:

Previously, the State Committee for National Security uncovered a case of official misconduct at Kyrgyz State University named after Ishenali Arabayev. The investigation found that 59 foreign students, including 30 from Uzbekistan, were officially admitted to the university but never entered Kyrgyzstan or participated in classes.
