Indian student in Bukhara allegedly kills classmate by hitting her with laptop

A 22-year-old Indian medical student studying in Bukhara region died following a quarrel. Another Indian student suspected in the incident has been detained by law enforcement officers. This was reported by Onmanorama.
According to the publication, the deceased, Sawariya, was from Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala. The suspect in the case is said to be her 23-year-old classmate, Sadharol Anam, who was born in Malappuram district.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred about four days ago during a dispute between the two students. The suspect allegedly struck the girl on the head with a laptop. As a result, the victim was hospitalized with serious injuries. Despite doctors’ efforts, the student died from complications caused by internal bleeding.
According to information provided by the deceased’s family members, the suspect was detained by Uzbek law enforcement officers on the same day. Investigative actions into the incident are currently ongoing.
It was noted that the deceased’s body has been taken to India and is expected to be buried in her hometown in the coming days.
Earlier, it was reported that a 22-year-old woman and a 51-year-old Chinese man she knew were stabbed to death in Tashkent’s Sergeli district.
