A digital communication platform that will connect Uzbek students studying at prestigious foreign universities with local employers will be launched within one month. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this today, June 30, during a meeting with young people.
It was noted that more than 14,000 young Uzbek men and women are currently studying at leading higher education institutions in the United States, Europe, Japan, China and South Korea.
Through the new platform, students studying abroad will have the opportunity to complete practical training and internships during their holidays at ministries, local administrations, state organizations and private companies in Uzbekistan.
The President also noted that nearly 700 talented young people are sent every year to study at the world’s most prestigious universities through the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation.
“At the initial stage of our reforms, we sent our talented young people to study abroad mainly on the condition that they would later work in state organizations. The need for such personnel in the private sector is also increasing day by day. From now on, our young people will also be able to study at prestigious foreign universities through the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation based on orders from the private sector,” President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Earlier, it was reported that the Uzbekistan Youth League platform, where young people will receive special points, would be launched in Uzbekistan.
