In the Svobodnensky district of the Amur region in Russia, police detained a 1993-born Uzbek individual, as per reports from the Amur news service.
Law enforcement officers, within the "Search" operational-preventive event in the Amur region, identified the addresses of 12 missing citizens and eight minors who absconded from their families or institutions without authorization. Additionally, they located three mentally ill individuals who declined treatment at a compulsory hospital.
Over two days, Amur police pursued 19 individuals accused or suspected of fleeing from investigative, prosecutorial, or judicial authorities, with eight being sought by federal authorities. Among them is a 31-year-old Uzbek citizen wanted for a vehicular-related offense in his home country and currently in hiding in Russia.
No details have been disclosed regarding the extradition of the suspect to Uzbekistan.
It's worth recalling the prior incidents where citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were apprehended while fighting in Russia.
