28-year-old woman dies in a private clinic in Kashkadarya

News has circulated on social media about the death of a 28-year-old woman following an antibiotic injection at a clinic in Shahrisabz, Kashkadarya region. QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Hayot Shamsutdinov, spokesperson of the General Prosecutor's Office, for confirmation.

The incident reportedly took place on November 6 at around 11:00 a.m. The woman, identified as B.N. and born in 1996, resided in the "Khontepa" neighborhood of Shahrisabz district and had sought treatment at a private clinic for a sore throat.

An otolaryngologist at the clinic, identified as I.J., administered a combination of "Ceftriaxone" and "Dexamethasone" due to the swelling and infection in her throat. However, immediately after the injection, B.N. experienced a severe reaction, leading to her tongue pulling back. Despite on-the-spot assistance, her condition deteriorated, and she passed away at the scene.

An investigative team, led by a prosecutor from Shahrisabz City, inspected the site of the incident. The Shahrisabz City Prosecutor's Office is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the case.
