Earthquake strikes Kashkadarya region

An earthquake of magnitude 3.9 struck the Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan on January 15, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Monitoring of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The earthquake occurred at 12:32 PM local time, with its epicenter located in Dehkanabad district, Kashkadarya. The earthquake's coordinates were 38.66 degrees north latitude and 66.64 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was situated 363 kilometers southwest of Tashkent.

The earthquake's intensity was recorded at 2 points in the Kamashi district, located 13 kilometers from the epicenter.

This follows a previous earthquake on January 14, when a magnitude 4 earthquake hit the Bukhara region, with tremors felt at 2 points in the Peshko and Karakul districts.
