Illegal sale of unfit alcohol uncovered in Kashkadarya (video)

Individuals involved in the illegal sale of alcohol have been identified in Shahrisabz district of Kashkadarya region, according to the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office.

It was reported that during a joint оператив operation conducted by officers of the department’s Kashkadarya regional administration and the regional Department of Internal Affairs, two individuals residing in the “Maktabobod” neighborhood of Shahrisabz district and the “Kamandi” neighborhood of Karshi city were detained. They were caught while selling 432 units of alcohol products of two different types to a buyer at a warehouse located in the “Ravoq” neighborhood of Karshi.

In addition, another 780 units of alcohol products of four different types were discovered at a warehouse in the “Alisher Navoi” neighborhood of Karshi city, where they were being stored for future sale.

According to expert assessments, all 1,212 seized alcohol products were deemed unfit for consumption, and the excise stamps were found to be counterfeit.

A criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are currently underway.

It is worth noting that earlier reports stated that individuals engaged in the sale of narcotic substances via social media were detained in Kashkadarya region.
