Illegal drugs valued at 1.3 billion soums were discovered in the residence of a Kashkadarya citizen

5854In a swift operation across various Uzbekistan regions, the unauthorized sale of drugs lacking quality assurance and proper documentation was halted, as reported by the State Security Service.
A resident of Yakkabog district, Kashkadarya region, born in 1996, was apprehended with tangible evidence after selling a total of 3,767 drugs such as "Banktsef," "Zanasef," "Gansef," and "Gandsef" for 54 million soums. It was revealed that he sourced these drugs from another district resident of the same age, who was also caught after receiving 26 million soums for previously sold drugs.
Furthermore, during the search of his residence, 14,909 drugs worth a total of 1 billion 307 million soums were found without proper documentation and were seized in accordance with procedural requirements. These drugs, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and equipment, authorized for medical use, were not registered with the state.
Upon inspecting the home of a Khavos district resident in Syrdarya region, authorities discovered 49,020 vials of "Ampisul" medicines manufactured in China, lacking relevant documents and quality assurance, valued at 593 million 142 thousand soums. The individual considered their owner, a Bekobod resident born in 1990, was arrested.
Pre-investigation revealed that these drugs were smuggled by two Fergana region citizens born in 1990 and 1994, bypassing customs from Tajikistan. These individuals were also apprehended.
Presently, criminal proceedings have been initiated against these individuals under relevant articles of the Criminal Code, with ongoing investigations.
