Two assistant mayors were arrested in the Yakkabog and Shahrisabz districts of the Kashkadarya region.  This was reported by the State Security Service.

In one of the neighborhoods of the Yakkabog district, the assistant mayor colluded with others and embezzled the preferential loan funds of 1.7 billion soms allocated from the bank for the purchase of construction materials to 2 limited liability companies of which he was the unofficial leader.

In another case, in one of the neighborhoods of Shahrisabz district, the assistant mayor was informed that a citizen's 5 hectares of land had gone out for auction, and he was caught when he received 500 US dollars in exchange for leaving 50 hectares of this land to him.
