6079The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel has issued a warning to its citizens, advising them to take safety precautions and remain in shelters during ongoing rocket fire. The statement comes in light of the complicated security situation in northern Israel.
The embassy emphasized the importance of personal safety measures, urging individuals not to leave shelters during periods of rocket attacks. They recommended that citizens stay updated by following official communications from the Israeli government and the Uzbek embassy, and encouraged the installation of the Israeli Home Front Command's mobile app or website for real-time alerts.
Additionally, the embassy cautioned against unnecessary outings to streets or entertainment venues, stressing the importance of prioritizing personal safety.
They provided several hotlines for the Consular Department of the Embassy for assistance: 03-672-2466; 03-672-2371; 03-758-5075; 03-758-5076. For emergencies, citizens were advised to use the urgent contact number: +972 54 485 1397.
This advisory follows a resurgence of hostilities that began on September 17-18, triggered by the explosion of communication devices in Lebanon, with the Hezbollah movement accusing Israel of responsibility.
In response, the Israeli Air Force has conducted extensive airstrikes on southern Lebanon, resulting in significant civilian displacement as thousands sought refuge in Syria to escape the conflict.
Notably, the Iraqi government has recently introduced free visas for Lebanese citizens, and hospitals in Syria have transitioned to 24-hour operations to accommodate those fleeing the violence in Lebanon.
