15766Japanese undisputed world champion in the super bantamweight division, Naoya Inoue, has agreed to face Uzbekistan's Murodjon Akhmadaliev. This announcement was made by Inoue's promoter, Bob Arum.
According to Arum, following Inoue's bout against Sam Goodman on January 24, he will defend his WBC belt against Alan Picasso in Las Vegas in May or June.
Afterward, Inoue is set to fight Murodjon Akhmadaliev. The match against the former world champion from Uzbekistan is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia either at the end of this year or in early 2026.
Previously, Akhmadaliyev's promoter, Eddie Hearn, stated that his client was confident in Inoue's victory, saying he was willing to bet his house on the outcome.
